Welcome

Welcome to the UKASFP community, we hope to share conversations and solution focused ideas with a wide range of individuals and organisations. We are a not for profit association therefore to maintain our community we ask for a modest fee of £25 per year to allow us to develop the free journals, maintain the accreditation process, support research into SF and maintain the Community of Practice, please visit www.ukasfp.co.uk for more details. This small fee will also give you the opportunity to join in the conversations, we look forward to sharing ideas with you.

We have a range of useful documents that outlines the UKASFP Code of Ethics, Standards of Proficiency and routes to accreditation that we are currently piloting, click this link below to access the documents:

Solution Focusd on the floor of an Mental Health Inpatient Unit Australia

Just spent 2009 exploring the use of SFBT in mixed acute mental health unit, has been interesting and fun. Spent many episodes talking with clients about what works, whats better, asking them how will that make a difference? Done scaling, explored exceptions asked miracle question many times now.

Open Access Training February 2010

Have just been commissioned to train, in the solution focus approach, Integrated Youth Services across a major local authority - about 150 people, over six days in the early part of 2010. These are closed trainings. However, I still have an open two day training coming up in February 2010 to which I'd like to invite you - or perhaps you could pass the info on to someone who might want to come?

Either way, the training is there and I look forward to working with people who wish to come - either… Continue

Organising the wiki project day

Hello, I'm hoping we can organise a date sometime in late July where we can meet virtually (and for some in person) to look at developing the wikipedia page on solution focused (practice/approaches).

I feel this project has become more important since the recent press interest and their use of wikipedia to get first impressions of what SF is.

I will be booking a day off work to set up the open space and so I need to know which days would be better for the group?

The plan for the day would foc… Continue
