best hopes for the project...

Well done Rebeca for beginning this historical development.

When we met recently and connected on skype, I was really impressed by your ideas and hopes for the future of the education system in Mexico, we had a number of UKASFP members who were also interested in supporting you at that time, that support remains I'm sure.

My questions at this exciting stage are:

What are your best hopes for this project?
What will be the early signs of success?

best hopes?
well, being able to share thoughts, ideas, projects, achievements from the places around the world that practice SF, that would be the main one. go beyond the time and space limits to get ideas from all around the globe, discuss them and make the convenient improvements by this sharing community to get better results for everyone who´s participating.

the second hope, but not less important, would be to gather people interested in this application area of the SF and get information, theory, data, ideas, etc, and start putting together a new learning strategy, if we have a Problem based Learning strategy, why don´t we develop a Solution Based Learning one?... it doesn´t have to be necessarily against the PBL, but it will definitely make a huge change on teaching strategies and students´ way of thinking. I haven´t picture this with precision yet but I think is possible...there has to be a way!

and the early signs of success, well, in Mexico that would be something like schools are opened to experience what´s SF, allowing teachers and people who work with children to get the basic from this approach and allowing them to guide students using it to make them able to drive their own lives at the present moment, making that way a bigger change on every participant.
another important sign would be the recognition of this approach as suitable for education, for personal improvement; looking for a way to get everyone involved in education, counseling and looking after children activities, into this profitable way of living, becoming solution focused in their lives first, being able to guide the others into the approach becoming what some authors call "solution focused school" starting that way, the change of the whole society through children´s experience at school. this is going to work as a rock thrown into a lake... the water circles will get eventually bigger.

and I know it could sound a bit too much, but I also know that if we gather the will, we will put together also the way to do this so I´ll be as open as someone who´s about to give a huge hug and as interested as a little children that´s finding a way to climb a tree...
